The conical-shaped Pink Pearl variety certainly caught my eye. Pink Pearls were first bred in 1945. They ripen in late August and hang like giant pearls from Malus pumila (in common parlance: the apple tree). I made it a true heirloom by casting it in gold-plated brass.
